Final action date

Glossary

The bulletin cutoff used to decide when a green card can be finally approved.

A final action date is the cutoff date USCIS and the Department of State use for final immigrant visa availability.

If a category is current or the priority date is earlier than the cutoff, the case may be eligible for final adjudication, subject to all other requirements.

Check
  • Track the exact visa category and chargeability country.
  • Do not treat Dates for Filing as approval availability.
  • Confirm the current USCIS adjustment chart before filing.
